Stars And The Moon
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 will leave Twihards in a state of emotion: some good, some bad, all overwhelming. This is the final film in the series, based off the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyers. The film picks up where Part 1 left off, with the transition of Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, from human to vampire.
Bella is faced with many obstacles that test her new abilities through the course of the film, all while her family is being threatened by the Volturi (the leaders of the vampire race). She and Edward (played by Robert Pattinson) are accused of creating an immortal child, Renesmee. This leads to a highly anticipated showdown between the two sides, that I must say, had the audience grabbing their seats and dropping their jaws.

The director, Bill Condon, did a good job of creating an air of suspense and awe that I felt was missing from the book. This can be seen prominently in the climax scene between the Volturi and the Cullens. However, there were moments that I wish Condon had focused more on than others. The importance of Bella’s shield was a detail that was overlooked and down played for the sake of the movie.
Lee Pace as Garrett and Billy Burke as Charlie were quite entertaining. Some roles were underdeveloped: the Irish Clan and the Nomads for instance. Fans need not worry about the original cast. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner do a good job of bringing their characters to life for a final time, as do the secondary characters. My only wish was to see more from Mackenzie Foy, Renesmee. There were very few scenes with her and even less dialogue.
Twilight fans will be immensely satisfied with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. For many this will be the epic conclusion they have been waiting for since the release of Twilight back in 2008. However, if you’re only a casual fan of the film then I would advise waiting until the DVD. There are many scenes that may leave you confused and unsure as to what just happened.
As a fan of both the movies and the books, I believe fans of the series will leave the theater in tears. The final film was a perfect send off for those who have been with the series since the beginning, the very end of the film will be especially well received by the diehard Twihards.
