Taylor Swift Donates to Kesha…Demi Lovato Responds!

Taylor Swift recently donated $250,000 to Kesha, who is currently in an ongoing legal battle with producer, Dr. Luke and her record label, Sony. In a statement from Taylor’s rep, “In a show of support, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time”.

Kesha’s mother took to her Twitter last night, February 21, to share the positive news tweeting, “A persons wealth is not measured by what they have but by WHO they help with it. And Taylor Swift is is a truly RICH PERSON. Thank you”.

Demi Lovato, who also voiced her support for Kesha over the weekend, seemed to have an issue with the donation. After word of Taylor’s donation spread, Demi tweeted, “Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I’ll be impressed.”

Demi then took to Instagram to share she was not calling out Taylor, she just cares more about the issue. Late last week Kesha’s request to break her contract with Sony so she wouldn’t have to work with Dr. Luke anymore was denied.

Kesha also has a pending sexual assault lawsuit against the producer. However Friday’s legal setback for Kesha led several celebrities to voice their displeasure with not only the legal system but Sony for forcing Kesha to work with her alleged assailant.
