What Is It About You
Daniel Radcliffe recently did an interview with the New York Times.
In the article, Daniel speaks about many things going on in his life:
On why he chose to do a musical after Harry Potter: “[To] prove that a child actor can go on to have a career with longevity. If I can actually do it, having been in one of the biggest franchises ever, then that can end the debate. It is possible. That’s what’s my mission is.”
On the end of Harry Potter: “For me I’m done, I’m finished. People have to remember, we are not mourning the death of an actual person. There is not an appropriate grieving period which I have to observe.”
On the director of How To Succeed, wanting to make him a triple threat:“I was going: ‘O.K., yeah, I’ll do dance lessons, fine. But you are swimming against the tide here, Mr. Ashford.’ ”
I love that Daniel chose the theater route after all was said and done with. So many people I think expected him to go straight into the next big thing, but his decision to go to Broadway allows him to take a step back from what he has known his whole life and divulge in something that he really enjoys!
