Miley Cyrus will be making a surprise guest appearance on American Idol this evening, April 27. The “7 Things” singer will be mentoring AI contestant, Lauren Alaina, who sang Miley’s hit “The Climb” a few weeks ago on the competition.
Miley was invited back on the show, she mentored last year, too, by producer, Jimmy Iovine, who has been working with Lauren. A few weeks ago Iovine told Lauren she was a “much stronger singer than Miley Cyrus” but apparently regretted his statement and asked Miley to be on the show.
Her segment was pre-taped at the end of last week. Miley and her Gypsy Heart tour members left for Ecuador today to kick off the tour on Friday.
