Zac Efron and his costar Taylor Schilling sat down with Collider to talk about their brand new film The Lucky One.

Below are some snippets from the interview:

On the training Zac did for the film: “All kinds of stuff.  First and foremost, I wanted to spend as much time around Marines and the troops as possible.  I was able to go to Camp Pendleton early on with Scott [Hicks] and just hang out with them, see what it was like.”

On the love scene and whether it was scripted or not: “It was a little of both.  I mean, parts of it, you have to be in the right spot for the camera.  We rehearsed it.  Scott gave us one, he said, “Do what you would do.’”

The film hits theaters this Friday, April 20!
