Play Me Some Country Music

The CMT Music Awards have announced the 2012 nominees and some of our favorite country crooners made the list.

Carrie Underwood is nominated for a whopping four awards including “Video of the Year”, “Female Video of the Year”  for “Good Girl”, “CMT Performance of the Year” for her performance with Steven Tyler for “Just a Dream/Dream On” from CMT Crossroads: Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood From the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam. Finally, she is nominated for “Collaborative Video of the Year” for “Remind Me” with Brad Paisley.

Taylor Swift was nominated for three categories: “Female Video of the Year” for “Ours”, “Video of the Year” and “Collaborative Video of the Year” for “Safe & Sound” with the Civil Wars.

Scotty McCreery’s “The Trouble With Girls” and Lauren Alaina’s “Georgia Peaches” were both nominated for “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year”.

The CMT Music Awards will be held live on June 6 on CMT!
