Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato are among the females being considered as judges for the new season of the X-Factor.

Celebuzz is reporting “The ‘Party in the USA’ pop star is on Simon Cowell‘s top-secret shortlist that also includes Fergie, Avril Lavigne and Demi Lovato, a production insider confirmed”

Britney Spears is still in talks to judge the show meaning there may be a fourth spot open for another judge if they chose to have four!

UPDATE: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Demi is in “final negotiations for the job”. Simon is hoping Demi will ” bring with her a younger audience”. The FOX 2012 Upfronts are next week so an official announcement should be made soon!
