Rupert Grint got to be a part of history today, July 25, in the UK. The young star was given the opportunity to take part in the 70-day torch relay for the London 2012 Olympic games.

Rupert, who recently wrapped filming on his new film CBGB, carried the Olympic torch from Middlesex University in The Burroughs, Hendon earlier this morning. Rupert was the 60th person to carry the torch for the 2012 relay.

This is so cool and such an amazing experience for Rupert! I am definitely jealous that he got to carry the torch!
