Joe Jonas talked to TVLine about his upcoming show, The Next, today, August 16. Joe talked to the site about how the show does not judge the contestants, the voting process, and so much more.

On mentoring, not judging: We don’t really choose the talent, but we do have input. When they do their live performances, we have to be pretty honest with them, whether it was bad or good, in order to make sure that it goes over well.”

On the voting process: “…the crowd witnessing the opening rounds of sing-offs cast their votes right then and there, and one of the four performers is crowned at episode’s end.”
