A brand new promotional image for the fourth season of The Vampire Diaries has been released. The image contains Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev, and Ian Somerhalder.

The new season will kick off with Elena as a newly transitioned vampire and Damon going back to his old ways. Think first season Damon.

The new season will air on the CW on Thursday, October 11!
