Backstage photos from the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards have been released. The event was held last night, September 6, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Taylor Swift snuggled up with her ex, Taylor Lauter, for a quick photo backstage and also managed to snag a photo with the Fierce Five while she was in the audience. Demi Lovato snuck a photo with Ashley Rickards of MTV’s Awkward during a commercial break.

The cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 posed for a photo before heading out to the stage.
