Josh Hutcherson sat down with Variety to chat about his work in the entertainment industry. Highlights from the interview can be found below.

On playing Peeta in The Hunger Games: “It was a bit of a challenge to physically embody the role, But my biggest mission was to do the best I could in the movie. I hoped by doing so fans would be OK with it.”

On how his life has changed since The Hunger Games: “Honestly, it hasn’t been absolutely crazy like people told me it would be. It’s nice that I’ve been able to maintain a private life,”

On stepping outside the acting realm: “I’m dying to get into more behind-the-scenes work. I want to produce and direct and create whatever I want some day.”
