Not So Academic

The NYU Local got the amazing chance to follow around Dylan Sprouse for a day at New York University. Dylan is currently a sophomore with “plans to concentrate in video game design with a double major in poetry and studio art.”

During their day with Dylan, he spoke passionately about his love of video games. Dylan stated, ““With video games, everything is the narrative. If you think about it, the way you design it is like mechanics, dynamics, and then aesthetics. As a player, you first see the aesthetics, and then you play and you’re like, ‘Oh, I really like the controls!’ And then you realize the mechanics, so it’s backwards for the player.”

The group also visited one of Dylan’s favorite coffee shops, art museum, and restaurant. You can check out more from NYU Local’s day with Dylan here. You can also watch Dylan answer some of the questions sent into the paper from fans.
