Taylor Swift has been named Seventeen Magazine’s December love columnist. In the new issue Taylor gives advice to readers on being stuck in the friend zone, when to tell a guy you are never getting back together, and more.

On being stuck in the friend zone: “Remember that people have to fall in love with you because they want to, not because you want them to. The truth is, if you’re a girl and he’s a guy, he’s probably already considered you as an option and decided for whatever reason not to pursue it right now.

Don’t chance ruining your friendship by chasing him before he’s ready. You just have to wait for him to turn it into something more, if and when he wants to.”

On telling him you are never getting back together: “If you get into the habit of hiding your breakups and makeups from your friends and family because they roll their eyes at you, or no one can ever keep it straight if you guys are together or not…congratulations. You’re in an on-again, off-again relationship that’s gone on for way too long, and its time to end it for good!”
