Ring The Bell

Lucy Hale and Sugarland’s Kristian Bush recently spoke with The Boot about Lucy’s upcoming country album. Highlights can be found below.

Kristian on warning Lucy about the country music industry: “You need to know what you’re getting into. It’s a lot of work, and a lot of people are going to spend a lot of time, effort, care and support on it. You can’t be a fly by night. You can’t just come in and try it out. Being a tourist is not what we’re into, being an artist is.”

Lucy on writing songs with Kristian: “We’ve written a few songs together, and he’s really taken on the role of mentor and great friend. He’s given me some awesome advice, and I feel so lucky to have someone like him on my team. It’s been a lovely experience.”

Kristian on Lucy’s hectic schedule: “I thought our schedules were rough, we’ve got it easy compared to TV schedules. Filming schedules are nuts — they shoot six, seven days a week, 20 hour days. It’s crazy, but I did spring her to come to the CMAs in Nashville.”

Lucy on the release of her new album: “I’m going to Nashville next month to cut the record,” she reveals. “We’ll have it out by summer and a single in the spring. I’m working with some great people, and it’s been a very positive experience.”

You can check out their full interview here! YUSSSSS!!!! Finally we have a tentative release time for Lucy’s album!!!!
