Taylor Swift chatted with MTV News about her new music video, “I Knew You Were Trouble”. Taylor shot the video this past November in Los Angeles.

Taylor told MTV, “This video is edgy because the narrative of it is edgy. The song sounds different than anything else I’ve ever done before, so I thought why not make this video unlike anything we’ve done before.”

She also revealed that the video would be darker than her past music videos. Taylor said, “We knew we wanted it to be some sort of corruption — good girl is living her life, going about her, you know, daily life and all of sudden she runs into this force. This guy is just like a force,” she said. “She’ll do anything to fit into his world, including change everything about herself.”

The video will be released this Thursday, December 13 (Taylor’s Birthday!), at 4:40pm on MTV!
