Let’s Go to the Movies
Day 3 of our favorite things is here and this post is dedicated to our favorite films of 2012. We saw a lot of good (and a few bad) movies this year and have picked our five favorites!
The Dark Knight Rises is easily our favorite film of the year. The final installment of the Batman trilogy was completed in an action-pack, exciting way. This film saw the addition of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Joseph Gordon Levitt as Robin to the already star-studded cast. Definitely a highlight of our year!
The Avengers kicked off our summer in a great way. Marvel’s super hero flick, combining the powers of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye into the super group the Avengers was a fun-filled action adventure.
Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson joined forces in another of our favorite films The Hunger Games. The beginning film in The Hunger Games book series was not only a box office hit but it was a hit with the critics as well. The movie kept fans of both the book and the movie on the edge of their seats and satisfied with the final result
Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, and Ezra Miller brought fans of all ages back to high school in the movie adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The acting in the movie was fantastic. Ezra stole the movie with his portrayal of Patrick and Emma proved she could make a name for herself outside of the world of Harry Potter. Logan was fantastic as Charlie in this emotional film.
The last movie to make our list was the comedy Pitch Perfect starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. The movie had us laughing in our seats and singing along to all of the songs. Rebel stole the movie and the year in the realm of comedy, she was one of the best parts of the movie.
