Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth shocked the world when they announced their engagement in May of this year but could the couple already be married?

TMZ.com noticed a very interesting piece of jewelry on Liam’s hand in a Christmas day photo of the pair. Liam was rocking a band around his ring finger on his left hand!

It appears Miley may have also added another band by her engagement ring on her left hand ring finger, as well. Could the couple already be married?

This isn’t the first time Miley and Liam have alluded to already being husband and wife. Earlier this year, during Liam’s Australians in Film Awards acceptance speech, he claimed the couple was already married, but quickly retracted the statement.

It would not surprise us in the slightest if Miley and Liam were already married. It is extremely possible the pair had already wed (possibly when the Cyrus clan was in Nashville at the end of May) and simply announced an engagement to throw the public off (which would be a very Miley/Liam thing to do).

Either way, these two are an adorable couple and seem very happy together. If they already secretly wed then good for them! I’m sure they did what was best for them and their relationship.
