You Don’t Own Me

Jennifer Lawrence stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman last night, January 15. She was on the show to promote her new film Silver Linings Playbook.

Jennifer spoke about her recent win at the Golden Globes, how she got into acting and more. She apparently lied a lot as a child and her mother thought acting would be a good outlet.

Jennifer also discussed her quote from her win on Sunday evening during her acceptance speech when she said “I beat Meryl”. Jennifer said she was simply quoting First Wives Club (like we all thought) and that it was merely a joke.

It was also recently announced that she will present at the Screen Actors Guild awards on Sunday, January 27, where she is also a nominee.
