You Don’t Know

Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have a bone to pick with BRIT nominated singer, Jake Bugg. Jake recently had some choice words to say about One Direction to Shortlist Magazine.

Jake told the magazine “People [call them the new Beatles] because they broke America, but that don’t mean a thing. I mean, [One Direction] must know that they’re terrible. They must know … calling them the new rock stars is a ridiculous statement. And people should stop making it.”

He went on to say, “Who the f**k is saying [they’re the closest thing to rock stars we have these days]? Oh, I’m pretty sure they have a good laugh. But it’s easy to, isn’t it? When you don’t have to write any songs.”

Niall and Louis took to their twitters today, February 22, to express their displeasure. Niall tweeted, “Really buggs me that artists we’re fans of ,flip on us in the press !” and Louis tweeted “Hi @JakeBugg do you think slagging off boy bands makes you more indie ?”

Jake is currently dating Cara Delevingne who was linked to Niall and Louis’ One Direction bandmate, Harry Styles, last year. Perhaps there is a bit more to Jake’s vitriol then a simple dislike of One Direction’s music?
