Demi Lovato chatted with the New York Times before her recent performance at the Grove in Los Angeles a few weeks ago. She chatted about her new music, relating to her fans and more.

On life in rehab: “Two years ago, I was in treatment and I was spending New Year’s Eve in rehab. And that was really difficult. I looked at my life and was like, What have I done to myself? I can’t believe it’s come down to this”.

On her management team: ““My team isn’t the type of management that will lie. Because, one, it’s not fair. And two, everything comes out anyways. So you might as well save yourself the trouble and not have a reason to make up an excuse for the other excuse”.

Demi also shared that even though there the has been slip ups while sober and she is focused on her new music and in talks to return to The X Factor.
