Big Time Rush sat down with Tenn Vogue for a new interview. James Maslow, Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, and Carlos Pena have spent the past couple of weeks promoting their upcoming Summer Break tour with Victoria Justice.

In the interview, the boys talk about the tour, what they are listening to right now, the sound of their new album, and so much more. Highlights can be found below.

On their tour: “Carlos Pena: We have Victoria Justice joining us and we’re super, super excited. She is super talented and I think she’s gonna bring a new element to our show from what we had last year. I’m looking forward to doing a lot more acoustic songs and more intimate setting stuff.”

On the sound of their new album: “James Maslow: We’re not trying to drastically change our sound by any means. What we did differently this time is we focused on the radio instead of the show. It’s really fast and poppy, with the essence of what our style has always been. We wrote great pop music—whatever felt good to us and sounded great. It’s still music that works well with the storyline of season four, and it’s also music that just came from our hearts and souls.

Logan Henderson: You’re going to see a lot of these songs coming from more of a real place. You’ll definitely see a growth and a level of maturity from us that you’d haven’t really gotten to see as much in the past.”

On what they are listening to now: “LH: It’s always something different, but definitely Justin Timberlake. Every song is like five to eight minutes long so I listen to them over and over. I just heard Selena’s new song, “Come and Get It,” and I’m digging it. Also, Justin Bieber’s “All Around the World”—it’s got a crazy beat.
