Throw the Football

Carrie Underwood is teaming up with NBC’s Sunday Night Football! The six-time Grammy winner was announced as the new voice behind Sunday Night Football’s theme, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” today, May 7.

Carrie replaces Faith Hill who sang the theme from 2007 to 2012. Each week Carrie will sing ahead of whatever intense match up is planned for the night.

Carrie said, “I am thrilled to be a part of NBC’s Sunday Night Football and am so honored they asked me. I have always loved football season, and it is so exciting to now become part of it every Sunday night!”

She kicks off singing “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” on Sunday, September 8, when the New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys! I can’t wait!!
