I’ll Tell You This
Ariel Winter was Milk + Bookies’ guest blogger in a new post added by the website today, May 20. In the blog, Ariel talked about her love for books and attending a past Milk + Bookies Celebration party.
On her love for books: “As a young girl, my favorite pastime was reading. The minute I learned to read when I was three years old, books were all I wanted for my birthday or any holiday. The stories fed my imagination and were my escape. I could picture myself as the characters, which when you’re young you’re always doing your own form of ‘acting,’ so I would act out the pages of the book for fun!
I learned so much about being creative and using my imagination that, even now, I can create my own stories on the spot to tell my nieces before bed.”
On attending the Milk + Bookies event: “I was absolutely floored when I saw how much time the staff spent to make the event as special as possible for all the guests and children. I had the most amazing experience at Milk + Bookies that I am determined to lend as much time as possible to get people involved!”
Milk + Bookies donates books to children and you can help out the organization by holding your own Milk + Bookies party. There you can have your friends donate their old books and you can donate your old books to the organization.
