I Say This

Lionsgate released a brief synopsis for their upcoming films, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and 2 this past weekend at the Cannes Film Festival. The movie will star Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemworth, and Josh Hutcherson.

The synopsis states “In MOCKINGJAY PARTS 1 & 2, we follow heroine Katniss Everdeen’s journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol.

As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.”

Footage from the second film in the series, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, was also shown this weekend as well. Catching Fire will be released on November 22, 2013 and Mockingjay Part 1 will be released in 2014 and Part 2 in 2015.

I hope with Mockingjay Part 1 they release it in November and release Part 2 in the Summer of 2015. I don’t want to wait a year for the last film.
