Pretty Little Liars Executive Producer, Marlene King opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about her new show, Ravenswood. Ravenswood is a spin off to the ABC Family drama, Pretyy Little Liars.

In the interview, she talks why they chose Caleb, played by Tyler Blackburn to jump from PLL to Ravenswood, the feeling of the new town, and how the town gets introduced. Highlights from the article can be found below.

On why she picked Caleb: It’s been explored on the show that he doesn’t really know that much about his past and about his parents. Because of the nature of what Ravenswood will be, it felt like he was the best character to take us to that world and explore the mythology that we’re going to explore.”

On the feel of the new town: “[It’ll be] very different and you’ll recognize how different it is right away. As  soon as [Toby and Spencer] go there, they understand. Spencer in the episode calls it ‘Creepytown.’  The people are different. It’s a unique city, Ravenswood.”

On how the town gets introduced: “Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) will take us to RavenswoodThey will follow a clue that will take them [to the new town].”

The town will be introduced in the seventh episode of the 4th season. It will then premiere on ABC Family in October and eventually the timelines on both shows will meet up.
