A new promo for The Vampire Diaries and The Originals has been released. The promo shows off new footage from both shows.

TVD is going into its fifth season on the CW and this is the first season for The Originals. The Originals is a spin-off of TVD.

Both shows will premiere their new episodes starting Thursday, October 10. After the premiere, The Originals will begin airing new episodes on Tuesday nights.
