Selena Gomez will no longer be performing in Russia for her Stars Dance Tour. The young star’s visa was rejected by the country only weeks before she was set to perform two shows..

According to E!, “Organizers cited Russia’s new anti-gay law as one of the reasons for Gomez’s rejection”. The country is apparently afraid that Selena, who is an advocate for gay rights, will “…come in and potentially use her platform to advance LGBT rights.”

No other reasons have been stated as to why her Visa was rejected and it would seem that tickets are no longer available for those shows on her site. If we hear anything more we will let you know.

This is so sad for not only Selena, but for her fans in Russia as well.
