A Very Good Place To Start
Carrie Underwood is on the cover of the November issue of Women’s Health magazine. Highlights from her interview are below.
On her busy Fall schedule: “My entire fall has basically been all about “The Sound of Music.” That’s a wonderful project that I’ve been asked to be a part of. It’s a live musical on TV so there’s been a lot of prep work. I’ve been in New York quite a bit doing run-through’s and working on a kind of music that’s not exactly the kind of music that I’m use to singing. So it’s been a lot of work and it’s been really challenging. But I think in the end it’s really going to be very rewarding. It’s going to be exciting to actually do a musical live on TV. Also the CMA awards have taken up a lot of my time. There are always different kinds of meetings that we have to have as hosts to get ready for that so it’s been all about big events for me. So a lot of prep work and then a big night.”
On the challenges taking the stage for The Sound of Music: “I’ve been in New York quite a bit doing run-through’s and working on a kind of music that’s not exactly the kind of music that I’m use to singing. So it’s been a lot of work and it’s been really challenging. But I think in the end it’s really going to be very rewarding. It’s going to be exciting to actually do a musical live on TV.”
On her love of coconut oil: “I put it on my food, I put it on my face, I put it on my hair. If it’s winter, the second I get out of the shower, I spread it all over and it feels really good and it smells good too.”
