One Direction performed their new single “Story of My Life” tonight, November 21, on The X Factor. The British/Irish boyband. formed on the UK X Factor is in the United States to promote their third album Midnight Memories.

Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Harry Styles wore all black and were surrounded by lights for their pre-recorded performance. The group also taped their performance of their next single “Midnight Memories” which will air later in the season on X Factor.

It was also announced today that One Direction would be the musical guests on the December 7 episode of SNL. It will be hosted by Paul Rudd and will air live on NBC!
