Belle and Beast’s son has been cast in the new Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants. Mitchell Hope will be taking on the role of Ben.
Disney Channel’s senior vp, Judy Taylor, spoke about Mitchell’s casting stating, “We were intrigued by Mitchell’s natural acting style, boyish charm and winning personality and when we brought him to Los Angeles to read opposite Dove [Cameron], it was apparent that he embodied the inherent good nature of ‘Ben’ and the sense of fairness that the character represents.”
Production on the new film will begin this Spring.
