Hands To The Sky
Vanessa Hudgens attended a screening/Q&A session for her new film, Gimme Shelter, last night, January 7 in Washington, D.C. Vanessa was joined at the screening by the film’s writer/director Ronald Krauss, and Kathy DiFiore (the owner of the shelter the film is based on).
During the Q&A session, Vanessa chatted about why she picked the role, transforming into Apple, auditioning for the role, and so much more. Part 2 and 3 of her Q&A can be found below.
Ronald Krauss also revealed that Vanessa’s “readiness and willingness to do the role.” helped get her land the role of Apple. However, it was the women who lived in Kathy’s shelter that ultimately decided on giving Vanessa the role. Ronald sent the girls Vanessa’s audition and they had the final decision on whether or not she got the role.
Vanessa also revealed during the Q&A that it was she who gave Rosario Dawson the script and urged her to audition for the role of Apple’s mom.
Make sure to check back here for our review of the film later this month. The film will be released on January 24!
