Lea Michele held a listening party for her new album, Louder last night, February 26, in Los Angeles. During the party, Lea chatted with press about the album, hearing “Cannonball” for the first time after losing her boyfriend, Cory Monteith, and what she has learned within the past year.
On her album: The album “is really the story of the last two years of my life. The incredible beautiful happiest moments as well as the worst. I didn’t record one word that I didn’t feel I could relate to.”
On hearing “Cannonball” for the first time after losing Cory: “When I heard ‘Cannonball,’ it lifted me up. It was what I needed to get through my difficult situation.”
On what she has learned in the past year: “If I’ve learned anything from this past year it’s that you have one life. I didn’t really understand what that meant until recently. You have to live your life to the fullest and you have to love as hard as you can love.”
Lea’s album will be released tomorrow, February 28. Kudo to Lea for being so open about everything with the press. It cannot be easy, but she is proving just how strong a person she is!
