Claire Holt’s final episode as a series regular on The Originals aired last night, March 11, on the CW. This comes as a surprise to many who fell in love with her character, Rebekah Mikaelsen, during the third season of The Vampire Diaries.
No word has been released on why Claire left the show or why the execs decided to take Rebekah off the list of regulars. However, it is being indicated that the door will remain open for Claire to reprise her role as Rebekah in future episodes.
I find it particularly odd that Claire would leave the show when it is only in its first season. Also, I am not happy about this either because I love her character so much!
