Miley Cyrus took to her Twitter to squash rumors about her recent hospitalization by releasing an official statement. The young entertainer has been i the hospital for the past few days due to an allergic reaction and had to cancel a few stops on her Bangerz tour.

The statement read, “Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour. She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin, which she’s now suffered an extreme reaction to. The type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases.

She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”

I hope this stops these ridiculous rumors that have been spreading around. Miley deserves time to recover without having lies thrown at her every minute of the day.

UPDATE: Apparently, Miley’s show in Nashville for tomorrow night, April 18, has been postponed until August 7 and her show in Louisville for April 19 will now be on August 9.
