Want To Be Like You

Disney Channel has officially picked up Zendaya’s new show, K.C. Undercover. Zendaya, who has been a staple on the network for the past couple of years, is set to play the lead K.C. Cooper.

The show follows “a high school student training to follow in her parents’ footsteps as an undercover spy”. Kadeem Hardison and Tammy Townsend are set to play her parents, Craig and Kira Cooper.

Production on the show will begin this Summer and Zendaya will act as a Co-Producer for the show. It will premiere on the network in the early part of 2015.

I can’t decide if this is a good idea for Zendaya or not. I mean on one hand she leads her own show, but the other is she is still attached to Disney and the older you get the harder it is to shed the Disney name post Disney. What do you guys think?
