This Land Is My Land

Ian Somerhalder revealed some pretty big news via his social media this past weekend. The young actor is the newest United Nations Environmental Program Goodwill Ambassador.

Ian tweet states, “We did it! Signed the UNEP paperwork with my new brother and world-changing Executive Director of the UNEP who is also the Under Secretary-General of the United Nations Achim Steiner in Parliament with the incredible distinguished members of the green government of Barbados. “

It only makes sense that Ian would be chosen as the next ambassador. Ian has been at the forefront of environmental awareness for the past few years and has been hard at work on his own environmental foundation, The Ian Somerhalder Foundation, as well.
