5 Seconds of Summer is on the cover of the most recent issue of Billboard magazine. The boys are on the cover to celebrate the release of their latest album, 5 Seconds of Summer. Highlights from their interview are below.

Ashton on the backlash they’ve received from punk purists:‘We’re so proud of the music we make — we love it — and we’re fearless. If anyone puts us down, we don’t care. Isn’t that somewhat punk — not giving a damn what people say?”

Ashton on how their show differs from their opening set for One Direction: “We do punk jumps and all that. We just don’t ever say ‘f—’ onstage. At our own show, we talk a lot of s***.”
