All That I Am
A Vampire Academy sequel may be in the works but there is a catch. Before production on the next film in the series, Frostbite: A Vampire Academy Movie can begin fans must raise $1.5 million.
Vampire Academy Producer, Mike Preger is launching an IndieGoGo campaign on August 6 asking fans to help raise $1.5 million for the next movie. If fans can raise the money, financial backers will fund the rest of the production cost.
The reason for the campaign: the backers don’t believe there is enough fan support to warrant another movie. The first movie, which starred Zoey Deutch and Lucy Fry, only made $3,921,742 its opening weekend and they don’t want to shell out money if fans aren’t going to see it.
The campaign takes off this coming Wednesday, August 6. Fans will have a month to raise the money and if they do production will start in early 2015 with a release in late 2015.
Make sure to keep checking the movie’s official Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for more information and to keep track of the campaign’s progress.
