This Is Our Youth
Ariana & the Rose may be new to the scene but if you are a fan of electronicdance music it is a name you should remember. Ariana opened for Heffron Drive last night, September 4, in Washington, D.C. Ariana & the Rose has been opening for the band for the past year while they have been traveling the United States.
We had the great opportunity to sit down with Ariana and chat about her upcoming music, touring the United Kingdom, and so much more. That interview can be found above.
Ariana & the Rose took the stage for around 35 minutes. She and her band performed music off her most recent EP, Head vs. Heart and a brand new song, “This Is Our Youth”, which will be on her upcoming EP due out hopefully in December. Ariana shared “This Is Our Youth” is her favorite song off the EP.
The band also did a medley of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball”, Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble”, and Lana Del Ray’s “Summertime Sadness”.The songs that really stood out were her cover of Marilyn Manson’s “Sweet Dreams” and her song, “Love Me, Hate Me”. If you have not heard her song “Love Me, Hate Me” go listen to it. The lyrics are incredibly good and the beat is extremely catchy.
Ariana & the Rose will perform at the Alon Livne runway show this Saturday, September 6 as part of New York Fashion Week. You can watch her at the show HERE.
Ariana & the Rose was a good choice to open for Heffron Drive especially with the intimate setting. It really allowed the audience to vibe with her. I will definitely be checking out her music and the new stuff on the way.
