Fun While It Lasted

Spotify fans will no longer be able to listen to Taylor Swift’s music on the streaming site. Spotify announced today, Taylor and her management have decided to remove her music from their site.

In lieu of the removal, Spotify told fans in a blog post, “We hope she’ll change her mind and join us in building a new music economy that works for everyone. We believe fans should be able to listen to music wherever and whenever they want, and that artists have an absolute right to be paid for their work and protected from piracy. That’s why we pay nearly 70% of our revenue back to the music community.”

I guess this is going to mess up a lot of people’s playlists! Hopefully, they decide to put her music back on the site.
