Niall Horan received a belated Christmas gift from his hometown, Mullingar yesterday, December 27, when he was given a lifetime membership to his local golf club. Niall was given the honorary lifetime membership at the Mullingar Golf Club.

Niall took to his Twitter to express his excitement and joy stating, “Thank you to everyone at mullingar golf club for making me an Honorary life member of the club! What a nice touch !” and “I’ve been a member of the club since I was 12/13 and to be awarded with this now is just incredible ! Really much appreciated!”

Niall will soon head to the United States where he and his One Direction bandmates will perform on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on Wednesday evening, December 31.
