2014 was a great year for music with new albums from One Direction, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. Nick Jonas set out on his own with his self-titled album and 5 Seconds of Summer debuted in a big way with their album this year.

Those five artists also gave us our Top 5 Favorite Songs of 2014! One Direction released their fourth album Four which contains the completely danceable and upbeat tune, “Girl Almighty”. While not a single yet, it was a standout from their new album.

Taylor’s “Blank Space” obviously made our list with its instantly quotable lyrics and hilarious music video. It’s definitely a song you turn up and scream along to in the car. Ariana Grande’s team up with Jessie J. and Nicki Minaj on “Bang Bang” is another sing-along track that makes our list. A solid pop song with a great beat and catchy hook is why this song makes our list.

Nick’s second single “Jealous” also makes our Top 5. The ode to his girlfriend and still feeling jealous over the attention she gets is a definite earworm. 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Good Girls” completes our list. The tune is punk-pop perfection, a great song to run, dance or drive to.
