Comes To Life Onscreen
The 2014 Television season premiered quite the mix of good shows and bad shows. For us at BeautifulBallad, there were five shows that hooked us from the start and kept us begging for more.
First up was ABC’s new drama, How to Get Away with Murder. If you follow us on Tumblr you know how addicted we are to this show. From the characters to the twists, this show has kept us on our toes since it premiered in September. If you are a fan of the show we suggest you follow us on Tumblr and join in on the fun.
Next came The Flash. Based on the DC Comic character, Grant Gustin brings to life a very personable Barry Allen. Unlike the CW’s other superhero show, Arrow, The Flash does a nice job showing the lighter more comical side of crime fighting.
Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World is of course on our list. As Boy Meets World fans we were a little skeptical about the spin-off; however, the show does a nice job continuing the story of Cory and Topanga with their daughter Riley. While it has had its ups and down to start the show has really found its footing. We can’t wait for the second season.
Another comic based TV show made our list this year, FOX’s Gotham. This was the show BeautifulBallad was most excited to see. It started off really well, but kind of got a bit lost as the season progressed. However, the last three episodes set everything right again and have us excited for its return in January.
BBC’s The Musketeers is the last show to make our list. Unlike the other shows on our list this one premiered during the early part of 2014. The show is a retelling of the classic tale, The Three Musketeers and is currently playing on BBC America. The second season does not start until February, so you have some time to catch up.
