Taylor Swift Makes Donation to NYC Public Schools

Taylor Swift is giving back to her new hometown. Taylor has apparently donated $50,000 to the New York City public schools system.

The money has come from the proceeds made off Taylor’s single, “Welcome To New York”, which is featured on her new album, 1989. A spokesperson for Taylor also revealed, “Taylor will continue to donate the proceeds she receives from the sale of the single ‘Welcome to New York’ to NYC public schools.”

For those who don’t know, Taylor told the ladies of The View back in October that she was planning on making a donation to the school system. I’m glad she didn’t back out of this. If you have not bought the single yet, go get it!
