Zayn Malik tells The Sun “It’s Not Real to Me”
Zayn Malik spoke to The Sun just hours after announcing he was leaving One Direction. The singer shared he hadn’t been happy for a while and was only still with the band as a way to make other’s happy.
Zayn stated, “I feel like I may have let them down in some sort of way, and that’s the main thing that I don’t want to happen, it’s not that I’ve turned my back on them or anything. It’s just that I can’t do that anymore. It’s not real to me.”
Zayn believes the band will be just fine with out him and have been supportive of him leaving. He says the group will “do okay for a while” and “hey understand that it’s not real to me anymore”.
Zayn also shared he will continue writing and according to The Sun he is planning a solo project. Zayn was spotted at a recording studio yesterday and has spent the last several months workin with Naughty Boy.
During his interview, Zayn spoke about his fiancee, Perrie Edwards. He says she’s a “good girl” and has been supportive of him, too.
