Hawkgirl and The Traveler Join The Flash/Arrow Spin-Off

The Flash/Arrow spin-off has found two more heroes to add to its line-up. Arthur Darvill has been cast to play the Traveler (Rip Hunter) and Ciara Renée will play Hawkgirl (Kendra Saunders).

According to The Hollywood Reporter “the Traveler, a cocksure time-hopping adventurer. while Deadline is reporting, “Saunders is a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker Hawkgirl.”

Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Victor Garber and Caity Lotz have already been cast in the spin-off. The show has not been officially picked up by the CW, but my guess is we will be seeing this show in the 2015-2016 TV line-up.

For those wondering, Ciara is not playing the Hawkgirl from the Justice League/Justice League Unlimited cartoon series. That was Shayera Hall, not Kendra, however I kind of wish they were going with Shayera instead.
