Production to Begin on The Flash/Arrow Spin-off/Spin-off Characters to Appear in The Flash/Arrow Season Finales?!
It looks like production on The Flash/Arrow spin-off, apparently being called, The Atom, is getting ready to begin in Vancouver. The majority of the cast is currently in Vancouver gearing up to begin shooting the pilot for the show.
However, before they begin shooting the pilot, some of the cast members have to finish filming their appearances on the season finale’s of The Flash and Arrow. Victor Garber will be reuniting with his Firestorm counterpart, Robbie Amell in the season finale of The Flash, as well as his new costar, Ciara Renee.
Ciara will apparently make her first appearance as Hawkgirl, Kendra Saunders, in The Flash finale. The Broadway star posted a photo to her Instagram yesterday, April 8, of her trailer door on The Flash set, but quickly deleted it. Looks like she was not suppose to reveal she would be in the episode.
Brandon Routh is currently in the midst of filming the season finale episode of Arrow. Executive Producer, Marc Guggenheim posted a photo of the cast, including Brandon, doing the table read for the episode yesterday. Noticeably missing from the photo were Arrow stars Willa Holland and Colton Haynes, but I will keep my theories for their absence to myself.
Arthur Darvill, who is set to play Rip Hunter, posted a photo of a Rip Hunter comic book to this Twitter yesterday. No word on if the star is in Vancouver yet, but it looks like he has begun research for his new role.
Caity Lotz was also spotted in Vancouver yesterday. The star was not spotted on either set, but was seen arriving at the airport. You can see a photo of her there on our Tumblr.
No official word has been released on the character Caity will be playing, but rumor has it she will be playing the White Canary. For those unfamiliar with the character, White Canary is a mysterious assassin sent to destroy the Birds of the Prey (Black Canary, Huntress and Oracle).
My guess is, if she is indeed White Canary, they will bring her back using the Lazarus Pit and she will make an appearance in the Arrow season finale. Because of this, she will probably have some side effects that lead her to becoming the White Canary. In comics, she and the Black Canary have a show down, which could lead for an interesting storyline between Laurel and Sara, if the show is picked up. However, this is just me throwing ideas out there.
We will have to keep our eyes out as production is rumored to begin this weekend. When we know more, we will let you know.
What do you guys think?
