First Official Stills from ABC Family’s Shadowhunters Released

The first official photos for ABC Family’s new series, Shadowhunters have been released. The show is based off the best selling book series, The Mortal Instruments, by Cassandra Clare.

Kat McNamara and Dominic Sherwood star as Clary and Jace, the show’s leads. They are joined in the series by Matthew Daddario (Alec), Harry Shum Jr. (Magnus), Alberto Rosende (Simon) and Emeraude Toubia )Isabelle).

Shadowhunters “follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons.

When her mother, Jocelyn, is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend, Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.”

Currently filming in Toronto, the new show will premiere on ABC Family in the early part of 2016. Are you excited for the new series?
