Gotham Season 2 Premiere “Dammed if you Do…” Advance Preview
Gotham returns tonight, September 21 with its season 2 premiere “Dammed if you Do…” and it is clear this season will be nothing like its predecessor. The show has reinvented itself in an effort to set up their “Rise of the Villain” theme.
The premiere flowed better than any of the episodes in the prior season, rather than trying to tell
multiple stories arc throughout one episode, this episode uses multiple stories to focus solely on one
arc. One of the complaints with last season was trying to tell too many stories at once that had
nothing to do with one another. The writers definitely fixed that problem in this episode and hopefully they keep it up for the whole season.
All of your favorite characters are featured in the episode and certain characters will leave you wishing you had seen more from them (I’m looking at you Cameron Monaghan).Barbara Gordon was one of the biggest negatives for me last season, she seemed pretty useless and left many fans wondering why she was still on the show. However, the showrunners definitely found a more interesting role for her this season that will leave you intrigued by the end of the episode.
If you were having any doubts about tuning into the show this season, give tonight’s episode a try. It may have leave you planning to tune in to next week’s episode.
